Billions of people around the world believe in God, yet they will tell you many different, and sometimes contradictory, things about him . . . . or her . . . . or it . . . . or them. Can all these ideas be true? Could they all be wrong? How can we decide what's what?
In this section you will find two different types of information:
- Firstly, there are some ideas about God - if you have come to the conclusion that God exists (for more on coming to this conclusion, see Why believe?), how might you go the next step and find out what God is like and whether any of the world's religion could really give us information about him.
- Secondly there is information on the major world religions, how their teachings and practices compare. I am following this up with more detailed information on the major religions - so far I have only summarised what christians believe, but later there'll be information on Islam, deism and atheism.
