If God made the universe and designed it so it would support life, we'd expect there to be some tell-tale evidence of his work. What can we see?
Cosmologists take the information obtained by astronomers and test theories about the processes that led to the formation of the universe. From the conclusions of the cosmologiests, philosophers consider how the appearance of an orderly universe out of nothing could have occurred, and how is it that, against the odds, this universe allowed intelligent life to appear and prosper.
Some of their conclusions seem, to some people at least, to point to God.
We can also consider our experience as human beings, and the discoveries of medical science and neuroscience. Our experience as human beings is that we are rational creatures with the ability to make choices, appreciate beauty, love deeply and make moral judgments. Some of us believe they have experienced God, healing or guiding or comforting them. The scientists tell us about our brains, and some of what they have discovered seems to contradict what we experience.
All this is information that some people think points to God, but others think exactly the opposite.
So is this evidence that God exists, or should we expect more before we believe?
Was the universe designed for us?
How do we know right from wrong?
How should we assess healing miracles?

Are our brains like computers?
