You may have noticed that I haven’t blogged lately. But I have been super busy.
For the first time in my life I have become politically involved. I have come to the conclusion that the present government of Australia must be changed for the sake of our country.
Australia is one of the worst countries in the world for climate action – basically, our government is doing the least it can to reduce carbon emissions and an awful lot to continue to subsidise fossil fuels.
In addition, it has been wasteful, some would say corrupt, in its misuse of public money to support a privileged few and to gain re-election.
I have decided that electing an Independent candidate who will take action on these two matters is a high priority. As a christian, I believe integrity matters, and I believe we should care for the world God gave us and the people in it. Especially the least privileged, who will be most adversely affected by climate change.
So I have joined the campaign team for Georgia Steele in the Sydney electorate of Hughes, and that is taking most of my time right now.
I’ll let you know what happened, and then resume blogging, after May 21st.

I’m really happy to see another person eager to see our world made a better place for those who come after us. I can relate too, as a European (Britain) the invasion and war crimes being committed against Ukraine has also pushed me to do something for our world too.

Oh my word! Your problems sound so SANE! I am so envious. I’m in the middle of Texas. Which is the middle of the Right wing crazy of the U.S… Pray for us.
